It was another crazy week around here.

Started off with little A's 4 birthday party on Sunday, his actual birthday on Monday, H.s surgery on Tuesday and then we had friends visiting from out of town on Wednesday.  Busy, busy, busy!

Backyard Oasis: The Pergola & A Linky Party!

Finally!  It's done!  Can you believe it?  Well, there are few little things that need to be done, but i thought I'd start the Backyard Oasis posting. 

 I will start with the last thing they finished - The Pergola.

It took 5 strong men to raise this bad boy from the halfway point of where it was put together. (that's hubby in red shirt)

While I took pictures! :-)

This furniture fits perfectly in here (the fabric needs to be changed though)

I think it was worth the wait! What do you Think?

I wish I had the before pictures, but my camera wasn't working at the time the reno started.

So, now I need to decorate it.

CSN Stores Has Made My Day!

Hello...

H.'s sugery went well on Tuesday and she is recovering well, thanks to everyone who e-mailed me with their well wishes... I read them to her.  Of course, she is not happy about the fact that she can't get water in her ears for the next month or so.  No diving into the pool, no swimming in the lake, no splashing in the water.  That will be fun... keeping my energizer water bunny from diving or splashing in the pool for 4 weeks!

Does anyone have suggestions for something to keep her ears covered?

In other news...  I am so stinking excited!  CSN Stores has contacted me to review something from one of their 200+ stores.  Whahoooo!!

I thought it would be easy to pick something to review.

ummmm.... not so easy!  Have you seen their amazing stores???

ggggaaaahhhhh...  Oh I don't know!  I'd love ALL of those and bunch more things!  They have some great looking office furniture, outdoor chaise lounges, table lamps and lots and lots to choose from for every room of the house!  I also noticed they have a CSN Clearance Section with more fabulous things to choose from!

I'll let you know what I end up reviewing in a future post.  Meanwhile go check them out!!!

Prayer Request for H.

O.K.  Bloggy friends I need a favour...

H. is having surgery this morning to put tubes in her ears to drain the fluid, so that her new hearing aids will  work more effieciently.  It's relatively minor surgery (she's had tubes put in before), but any time general anesthesia is involved I panic and get nervous.

Can you keep her in your prayers?

Bloggy Friends Weekly Roundup

So I know I promised a backyard Oasis post this week, but no luck.  IT'S STILL NOT DONE! (yes I'm shouting).  The brick work is mostly done, the sodding is almost done, the fencing is almost done... but my list of things that still need to be done is longer than the done things.  uuuuggggghhhh  oh yeah and my driveway is still looking like Sanford and Son's garage.  Did I mention I was hoping to have garage sale this weekend? AND... it's little A's 4 birthday party?  I may have to cancel the garage sale but I can't cancel the party!  The invitations are out, menu planned, and cake ordered!  The party must go on!

Okley dokley enough complaining.

A treat to myself - for F-R-E-E!

Yesterday I mentioned that I have been naturally waking up early and enjoying a hot cup of coffee with Max, so I thought I'd share my latest kitchen gadget ( and they are not paying me for this).

It's a Tassimo Bosch and I've wanted one of these for about 6 months now.   I first heard about them on Twitter around Christmas time when a bunch of twitterers were getting them for free (and no I wasn't one of those people). So a couple weeks ago I got a wild notion to check to see how many Air Miles I had and see what I could get for F-R-E-E.  And low and behold I had a enough to get one of these babies. 

It arrived on Friday afternoon! And I've been enjoying a morning Latte everyday at about 6:30 a.m. and listening to the birds chirp.  (See the time stamp on pictures :-)!)

This is the Latte!  The Box itself comes with certificate to get two Free products once you enter the PIN on the website (I haven't done that yet).  It is super easy to use and if you work out the per unit cost of each coffee it's a lot cheaper than Coffee Shop coffees especially the Lattes and Cappucinos. And the taste is amazing!  I'm loving it!
