This past week my family had the pleasure of attending the first ever Bingeman's e-Night at Bingeman's Funworx in Kitchener, Ontario.  It was an event for bloggers in the area and their families to meet and have some fun.

The kids had a blast, and it was a pleasure to meet some fellow bloggers.

CSN Review: The Snoozy Petbed

Hi ya!

Thanks to all for your wonderful comments on my console table.  I had a lot of fun in transforming it from a smallish table to a perfect console table. Now I need to dress it up.  Soon!

CSN asked me to do a review on an item from one of their online 200+ stores.  I was more than happy to do it.  In fact I was ecstatic, since this was would my very first review, evah!!  Of course with sooooo many choices to choose from I was stumped.  They really have EVERYTHING!!

Since we had just adopted our little Max... I went ahead and spoiled him (a little more).

I ordered a Pedbed for our little (getting very big, fast) guy.

I would say he's quite happy about it.

The colour matches perfectly with our new couches.

(although you haven't seen them yet, take my word for it)

So, do you think he is trying to tell me something?

The ordering process was really easy.

They sent an e-mail telling me of the time frame when I should expect the order.

Then they sent me an e-mail as soon as the order was filled.

And then I got another one when the item was shipped.

Talk about customer service. Awesome!!

I Made a Table (kinda/sorta) and Winners!

Hello there!

I hope you had a nice weekend! 

We did some garage saleing and hung out by the pool most of the weekend.  Every so often I would sneak away to "make" a console table.  And when I say I "made" a table, I mean I... oh I don't know...  I added wood to an existing table to make it look the way I wanted it to.

So what would you call that?

Anyways, I started off with this old table...

I have had this table for about 15 years.  I bought it at a garage sale for $25 for our first home.  It's small table and doesn't really go with my decor right now, so instead of getting rid of it, I thought to modify it!

I added a piece of wood that I had cut to size at home Depot to the bottom of the original legs with Gorilla glue.  Something I learned during this project is that you only need a little bit of glue! >:(

Then I sanded... and....

Sanded.  I wanted rounded corners.

Then I added little "legs" to the bottom and sprayed it with KILZ primer.

Once KILZ was dry, I filled in all of the cracks with wood filler.

Then I sprayed the whole thing with a Black Satin and re-sanded the corners once paint was dry to let the white primer show through. And added a new drawer handle.

And Introducing our new hall Console Table... "made by me"!!

Not bad huh? I'm letting the paint "cure" in the hallway before I dress it up. 

The extra materials cost me about $25 in addition to the $25 I spent back in 1995. I love it!

CSN Stores Has Made My Day!

Hello...

H.'s sugery went well on Tuesday and she is recovering well, thanks to everyone who e-mailed me with their well wishes... I read them to her.  Of course, she is not happy about the fact that she can't get water in her ears for the next month or so.  No diving into the pool, no swimming in the lake, no splashing in the water.  That will be fun... keeping my energizer water bunny from diving or splashing in the pool for 4 weeks!

Does anyone have suggestions for something to keep her ears covered?

In other news...  I am so stinking excited!  CSN Stores has contacted me to review something from one of their 200+ stores.  Whahoooo!!

I thought it would be easy to pick something to review.

ummmm.... not so easy!  Have you seen their amazing stores???

ggggaaaahhhhh...  Oh I don't know!  I'd love ALL of those and bunch more things!  They have some great looking office furniture, outdoor chaise lounges, table lamps and lots and lots to choose from for every room of the house!  I also noticed they have a CSN Clearance Section with more fabulous things to choose from!
