Fireplace Inspiration

I have been patiently waiting for a new fireplace for almost five years now.  Of course my focus has been on other things such as kitchen renos and basement renos and bathroom 1/2 renos and such.  But I've been waiting and waiting to address the issue of the ugly fireplace in family room.

It needs a facelift... and I needed inspiration.
